Lowndes County Middle School FBLA’s Win at State Conference

FBLA-Lowndes-Middle-SchoolsLOWNDES COUNTY, GA – Congratulations to the Future Business Leaders of America,  FBLA, students from Hahira Middle, Lowndes Middle, and Pine Grove Middle who attended FBLA-ML State Leadership Conference in Perry, GA, on February 25, 2014. The students competed against (13) Middle Level Regions located across the state of Georgia.  Members attended several leadership workshops throughout the day such as: Leadership Mission Possible, Leadership Olympics, Older Doesn’t Always Mean Wiser, How Much Does a Polar Bear Weigh, and Judging the Book by Its Cover.   As a result of what was learned at the meeting, these students will introduce fresh ideas and exciting activities and projects to their chapter members.

Pine Grove Middle FBLA Chapter received 15 top 10 awards

Members attending were Lauren Burgess, Andrew Bardes, Sarah Boutwell, Kylee Creasy, Sarah Davis, Chase Henderson, Destiny Lee, Hayden Whitwell

Awards were as follows:

Lauren Burgess –2nd place –Public Speaking

Sarah Boutwell, Sarah Davis & Destiny Lee–2nd place–Video Public Service Announcement

Andrew Bardes, Hayden Whitwell & Lauren Burgess- 5th place –Video Public Service Announcement

Kylee Creasy -7th place Creed

Andrew Bardes, Sarah Boutwell, Destiny Lee -8th Invention Convention

Hayden Whitwell-4th place -Spelling Bee

The Chapter earned 6th place in Local Chapter Activities Report & 6th place in Community Service Project

Pine Grove Middle earned Bronze Chapter of the year 

Lowndes Middle School FBLA Chapter received 3 top 10 awards

Members attending were Heather Strickland, Kailey Fussell, Kenna Fussell, Christian Guest, Jared Lawlor, Zenevia Hargett

Awards were as follows:

Jared Lawlor – 2nd place – Computer Concepts

Jared Lawlor – 8th place – Internet Concepts

Lowndes Middle School placed 5th in the statewide Monopoly Tournament

Hahira Middle School FBLA Chapter (Advisor Sharon Walker)

Members attending were: Michele Dowdy, Kierra Miller and Griffin Ruane.

New State Officer Elected to serve: 

Congratulations to Kierra Miller for becoming the new 2014- 2015 Middle Level State Secretary. Kierra and her advisor (Mrs. Sharon Walker) will attend the upcoming Summer Leadership and Summer FBLA Region & State Officer Training, Fall Motivational Rally, Fall Leadership Conference, Region Leadership and State Leadership Conferences for the upcoming year. Kierra is ready to “Chart Her Course” in GA FBLA Middle Level activities for the upcoming year.
