MOULTRIE, GA – One man is dead after a fatal crash two miles east of Berlin, Ga.

21 year old, Matthew Charles Garver was killed earlier this week when he collided with a tractor-trailer fuel-hauling rig. The accident occurred at the intersection of Perry Road and Highway 133 South, about two miles east of Berlin.

Garver failed to stop at a stop sign while driving north on Perry Road, resulting in the fatal accident. A second tractor-trailer, hauling bottle water, then wrecked while detouring around the first accident. The weight of the second trailer shifted, causing it to go into a ditch and break in two.

Both lanes of Highway 133 at Perry Road were cleared around 3:41 a.m. yesterday morning.
