VALDOSTA, GA – Sabal Trail Transmissions met with Lowndes County Co missioners and concerned citizens yesterday to discuss their proposal of a natural gas pipeline through the southwest corner of Lowndes County. The proposed pipeline would run from Alabama to Florida.
County Commissioners asked Sabal Trail crucial questions about the proposed pipeline, but some citizens felt they did not hit key questions that should concern the county. Some citizens are so concerned about the pipeline they have started a website called spectrabusters.org. The website is used to provide information about the Sabal Trail gas pipeline, and it also shares stories from Lowndes County citizens and their experiences with Sabal Trail.
Residents will have the opportunity to voice their concerns to the Lowndes County Commission during the next Commission meeting on December 10, today, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be on the second floor of the Lowndes County Administration Building.
Sabal Trail is hosting an informational meeting at Clyatville Elementary School on December 16 at 5:30. For more information about the pipeline visit SabalTrail.com and Spectrabusters.org
