Police in Valdosta are looking into a series of car break-ins that have occurred near VSU. In all of the cases, the victims left their cars unlocked. VPD Lt. Aaron Kirk said the thieves got away with a number of portable GPS units, a designer purse, sunglasses, a portable DVD player, cash, and other miscellaneous items.
All of the robberies happened on Lakeview Drive and Park Lane late last week- anyone with information on the break-ins is asked to call the VPD at 293-3415. Police remind residents of all areas of the city to lock your car doors and keep any valuables either in the trunk or out of the car completely.
