Valdosta, GA- Police in Valdosta are investigating the death of a man who was found in the back yard of a home on Walnut Street. Police were called to the 200 block of Walnut around 9:30 Saturday night in response to a call about a possible prowler.
When officers arrived on scene, they found 22-year old Robert Pett dead behind a home. Neighbors reported hearing shots fired just prior to the time when police were called.
Detectives have developed a person of interest and are following up on leads. Anyone with information on the 22-year old’s death is asked to call the VPD.
