VLPRA’s Azalea Festival 5K kicks off the annual festival inviting all ages and all fitness levels to register.

Release:

Kick off spring with VLPRA’s Azalea Festival 5K.  The event is Saturday, March 12th and is the official start to the annual Azalea Festival that takes place at VLPRA’s Drexel Park.  Runners, walkers, strollers, and well-mannered dogs on leashes are welcome to participate. The race will begin and end at Valdosta Early College Academy. 

Registration is open now at www.vlpra.com.  VLPRA encourages advanced registration but will accept race day registration.  On-site check in will open at 7:00 AM on Saturday morning, March 12th, at the Valdosta Early College Academy (VECA) located at 1605 Azalea Drive.   The 5K begins with a mass start at 8:00 AM.  The race starts and finishes at VECA.

The event is open to all ages and all fitness levels. T-shirts will be available for paying participants while supplies last. There will be medals for the top overall male and female and for the top male and female and in each age division.  It’s only $15 for advanced registration.  The price goes up to $20 on race day. Sign up by March 4th to guarantee a t-shirt.  Register online at www.vlpra.com
