IN OTHER NEWS – New research finds the most popular boy and girl baby names in Georgia, according to Google Trends data.

One of the biggest decisions for parents to be is deciding what to name their newborn baby.

To help the masses out there struggling to agree on a name, Betway decided to assist parents by analyzing Google Trends data across all 50 US states to establish the most popular boy and girl baby names in North America.

The results showed that, for female names, Scarlett came out on top overall with a score of 85 and the top choice in a whopping 33 states!

For the males, Jack was the most popular name choice with average Google trend search of 76 and the most favorite across 14 states.

When looking in Georgia, Scarlett was the most popular girl name with Elijah the most popular boy name across the state.

Behind Olivia and Emma, in fourth and fifth place, it was a battle of the name spelling preferences, ‘Sofia’ vs ‘Sophia’.

Despite the name pronunciation remaining the same, Sofia was the preferred spelling, with an Average Google Trends score of 63, claiming the number one spot in four states.

Meanwhile, Sophia had an Average Google Trends score of 61 and was the number one choice in only West Virginia.

Charlotte finished in last place with an average Google Trends score of 6, selected only by North Carolina as their favorite.

Although Jack took the top spot overall for the boys, Elijah and Liam were also popular across the US.

Mateo struggled to build traction, finishing bottom of the rankings, with an average Google Trends score of just 9 and only the most popular choice in California and New Mexico.
