The Coronavirus fright has reached into the world of television as studio audiences for programs like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune may be put on hold until further notice.
As was reported by Variety, those studios will not be taping in front of a live audience due to the health concerns following this outbreak.
In the epicenter of concern for having live audiences is the well being of Alex Trebek, show host of Jepardy.
Trebek is battling Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, so flying in tourists and guests from out of town, as is the show’s usual process, would be a major risk to Trebek’s compromised immune system.
Those at largest risk by the 2019 Coronavirus (COV-19) are older persons and those with major medical conditions.
There has yet to be word that ABC, NBC and CBS have adjusted their procedures regarding talk-show audiences, but the evidence that this change may come into effect soon is quite conclusive.
