This has been a particularly depressing year . . . it seems like there’s just been one terrible tragedy after another. And it’s starting to really get to us.
A new Harris poll found Americans are LESS HAPPY than ever. Well . . . by “ever” they mean “back when they started running this poll in 2008,” but still, we’re all bummed out.
On a scale of one to 100, the average person’s happiness is a 31. That’s pretty bad.
But there IS a silver lining: Even though it’s not clear HOW things are going to get better, we’re pretty sure they ARE going to. 72% of Americans say they’re optimistic about the future.
