A 27-year-old guy in Norwich, Connecticut named Duane Crawford got pulled over by the cops last Wednesday, after some sort of road rage incident.
Then he tried to take off, so one of the cops started chasing him on foot. And apparently Duane had a big enough head start, or he was just faster. Because it looked like he might get away.
Luckily a random guy was driving by . . . saw what was happening . . . and offered the cop a ride. Then he drove PAST Duane, and dropped off the cop right in front of him.
So he got arrested, and he’s facing multiple charges for breach of peace, driving on a suspended license, possession of cocaine, and a parole violation.
The guy who gave the cop a ride drove away before they could get his name, so no one knows who he is.
But the police department put out a statement thanking the “anonymous citizen” who decided to help them out.
