The new Marvel superhero movie “Deadpool” opened with $135.1 million, which is the biggest opening weekend ever for an R-rated movie, and the biggest President’s Day weekend debut.

It swallowed up the other two movies that opened this weekend.  “How to Be Single” made $18.8 million, and “Zoolander 2” pulled in $15.7 million.  Here’s the Top 10 . . .

1.  NEW:  “Deadpool”, $135.1 million.

2.  “Kung Fu Panda 3”, $19.7 million.  Up to $93.9 million in its 3rd week.

3.  NEW:  “How to Be Single”, $18.8 million

4.  NEW:  “Zoolander 2”, $15.7 million.

5.  “The Revenant”, $6.9 million.  Up to $159.2 million in its 8th week.

6.  “Hail, Caesar”, $6.6 million.  Up to $21.4 million in its 2nd week

7.  “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, $6.2 million.  Up to $914.8 million in its 9th week.

8.  “The Choice”, $5.3 million.  Up to $13.3 million in its 2nd week.

9.  “Ride Along 2”, $4.1 million.  Up to $82.7 million in its 5th week.

10.  “The Boy”, $2.9 million.  Up to $30.8 million in its 4th week.
