Moody Squadron Commander Relieved of Duties

MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. – A recent statement from the Air Force has established that the 41st Rescue Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Scott Rein has been relieved of his command.

Rein, who took command of the 41st in June 2018, was relieved by 23d Wing commander Col. Daniel P. Walls on Sept. 23, the statement read.

Prior to his command at Moody Air Force Base he had been with the 66th Rescue Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

According to the Air Force Times, Rein was not under investigation but the reason for his relief is not clear.

Lt. Col. Chad Kohout is interim commander of the unit at this time.
