Kidnapper Denied Bond

ALBANY — The man accused of kidnapping his young son Monday, Alfred Hunter, made his first court appearance Tuesday, but was denied bond.

WALB is reporting Hunter, 22 of Albany, was bound over the superior court.  The baby’s mother, Chelsea Mykeisha Scott, was also taken into custody by APD for family violence.

A Levi’s Call was issued Monday afternoon Kaiden Scott, 16 months, who was taken from the Superior Creek Lodge on North Slappey Blvd. in Albany by Hunter, his father.

Deputies is Sumter County spotted the father and his child in a car, stopped it impounded the vehicle on a child restraint charge.

That provided time for them to confirm the vehicle matched that from the alert, then re-located Hunter and took him into custody.

The child is safe.  Hunter is facing several charges.
