DOUGLAS — An accident sent three to the hospital, one by helicopter, Saturday in Coffee County.
WALB is reporting that two cars collided along Andrew Tanner Rd. in Coffee County, about a mile and a half from Flying Hawk Rd.
The Georgia State Patrol to WALB that the driver of a black Dodge pick up hydroplaned. A Nissan Xterra behind the Dodge then crashed into it.
The driver of the Dodge, Rufus Littleton, died. The truck’s passenger, Crystal Payne, was airlifted to Macon from Coffee Regional Medical Center.
The two people in the Nissan Xterra both went to the hospital with the driver being treated for a broken right leg and had a collapsed lung. The passenger suffered a concussion.
Trooper Clint Guest said in the report that the crash is still under investigation and charges are pending.
