VALDOSTA — One woman is behind bars after burglarizing her neighbor’s home on Tuesday.

Yesterday, around 1:40 p.m. Valdosta Police Department officers arrived at 204 W. Ann Street after receiving reports of a burglary in process.

The residents of the home, Allison Tolar and Tiffanie Colvin reported that someone had broken a window and stolen multiple items.

While searching the area for possible suspects, police recovered some of the stolen items in a neighboring apartment.

VPD Detectives received a search warrant for the neighboring apartment and conducted a search for the stolen items. They recovered the stolen items and arrested the apartment’s resident, Jessica Tate on charges of burglary.

Tate was taken to Lowndes County Jail and could receive more charges.

The stolen items were returned to their proper owners.
