SYLVESTER — A man was robbed and shot by another man last night, April 1, near the intersection of Henderson Street and Martin Luther King Drive.

The victim, Alvin Jackson ran to a local club, Club Celebrities on South Main Street for help.

Jackson arrived at the club around 2:30 a.m. and received help from Sgt. Dean King of the Sylvester Police Department.

Phoebe Worth EMTs removed one bullet from Jackson’s chest. His injury was not life-threatening and he was discharged from the on Thursday.
