VALDOSTA — There are dramatic changes being discussed that may affect taxation locally and how it can be used as the State considers a new Transportation Bill.

Lowndes County Commission Chairman Bill Slaughter and County Clerk Paige Dukes also previewed Tuesday night’s County Commission meeting and discussed how the proposals from the Georgia House of Representatives involving how transportation is funded and will affect Lowndes Countians.
