LAKELAND – Four Lakeland men has been arrested by the GBI in connection to a Lanier County homicide investigation.

The GBI has arrested Tommy Manning, age 17, of Lakeland, GA, J’mari Gates, age 16, of Lakeland, GA, Keamon Grant, age 16, of Lakeland, GA, and Kavion Brown, age 16, of Lakeland, GA, in connection to the homicide of Timothy Hunt.

At the request of the Lakeland Police Department, GBI agents are investigating the death of Timothy Hunt, age 27, of Naylor, Georgia. 

On Sunday, June 2, 2024, Hunt was shot and killed at a home on Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Lakeland, Lanier County, Georgia.   

A GBI Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy.   

No arrests have been made at this time, but the investigation is active and ongoing.
