The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to a five-year contract extension with quarterback Matt Ryan, a deal that is reported to be worth just over $103 million, with $59M guaranteed.
Ryan was still on his original rookie contract, but the Falcons’ front office had talked about getting a deal done with the former Boston College star prior to the start of training camp.
Ryan is coming off the best season of his five-year career and led the Falcons to last season’s NFC Championship Game. Ryan has led the Falcons, a franchise that never had back-to-back winning seasons before his arrival, to five consecutive winning seasons.
