Barring a late second-half collapse, the Braves seem to be on their way to another NL East title. Atlanta swept away the NL Central-leading Cardinals over the weekend, capped by a 5-2 win Sunday night at Turner Field.
Kris Medlen gave up just two runs over 6 innings, and the bullpen shut down the St. Louis offense the rest of the way. The Braves have won 5 of their last 7 heading into a three-game set with Colorado.
Atlanta has 57 games left, and of those, only 7 are against teams with records over .500.
