Salem, VA- The run for consecutive national titles has come to an end in heartbreaking fashion. The VSU Blazers lost twice in extra innings at the NCAA Championship, ending their stay in Salem, Virginia.
On Thursday, it was an extra inning loss to Molloy College that put the Blazers on the verge of elimination. On Saturday, Armstrong Atlantic finished them off after winning 7-5 in 9 innings.
The Blazers tied the game in the bottom of the 7th on a Courtney Albritton RBI double, but the offense would fail to score again in the 7th, 8th, or 9th innings.
