Accourding to AJC, 22-year-old Teshaun Hightower has been dismissed from Tulane University after he was arrested and charged with murder for a deadly shooting in Stockbridge on April 8. He was a former guard for the UGA Basketball team, but had transferred to Tulane in 2019.

Hightower was one of six suspects identified in the shooting that started with another suspect, Tyreek Farmer, getting into a physical altercation with Devontae Long. Afterward, Farmer gathered a group of friends as backup and sought out Long at an apartment complex.

According to a witness, it was Hightower who shot Long in a breezeway of the apartments. According to police, Long died later in a hospital.
