VALDOSTA — On Monday Dec. 15, Christopher B. Wilcox, 41-year old, Cordele resident, plead guilty to one count of possession of child pornography. Wilcox was currently under supervised release from his conviction in March 2003 of possession of child pornography.

In February 2005, Crisp County Superior Court convicted Wilcox again for aggravated child abuse, after spending 33 months in prison for his March conviction.

Wilcox’s probation officer made recent charges after searching Wilcox’s computer contents. Wilcox will be serving a 10-year parole revocation due to his current offense. Parole revocation usually refers to a new punishment or hearing based on whether or not a parolee violated their probation.

In roughly 60 days, Wilcox will be facing a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, a maximum of $250,000 in fines, and given the title of registered sex offender.

The Albany FBI investigated Wilcox’s case and Assistant United States Attorney Jim Crane is prosecuting the case.
