ASHBURN — Reports are becoming available that there has been a spree of bank robberies in south Georgia Thursday morning.  The Regions Bank in Cordele and the Colony Bank in Ashburn were both hit, according to reports.

WALB reported earlier that Turner County Sheriff Andy Hester said the Colony Bank in Ashburn was robbed about 9:30 am Thursday.  Hester believes that the suspect may be the same armed man who robbed the Regions Bank in Cordele about a half hour earlier.
