Atlanta, GA- Former Secretary of State Karen Handel has announced her run for the Senate seat that will be vacated by Saxby Chambliss leaving the upper chamber after this current term.

In a press release Friday, Handel says she is running “because we need less Washington in Washington.” She cites ‘out of control’ spending in Washington as one of her main reasons for running, saying the current Congress is simply ‘kicking the can down the road’ in the way of lowering the debt.
