VALDOSTA – Valdosta City Schools have announced that schools will be closed due to impending severe weather in the area.

District administrators have been closely monitoring the impending weather event expected to be moving into our area over the next several hours. Tomorrow’s wind predictions are expected to range from 30 – 50 mph, exceeding the safety threshold of school buses. Because of this, Valdosta City Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 9.
