West Point cadets visit historic Thomasville grave

THOMASVILLE – A man known for breaking racial barriers is buried in Thomasville, and on Wednesday a special group of students paid a visit. It’s all a part of an annual class project called the Civil Rights Staff Ride.

Respect, honor and sacrifice. These cadets from West Point Academy are saluting one of their own; Henry O. Flipper. The first African American to graduate. The very institution they’re attending today.
