CARROLL CO. – The GBI is investigating the shooting of a deputy that occurred during the execution of a search warrant.

The GBI is investigating a shooting incident that happened during the execution of a child exploitation search warrant.  A Carroll County deputy has been shot.  He is in critical condition.  The suspect is dead. The search warrant was part of an ongoing GBI investigation. We are working to gather additional details and will provide updates as soon as possible.
