Release:
Marriage proposals at public outings like sporting events provide unique settings to exclaim your love for a partner in front of thousands of people.
These proposals often occur at games, particularly in the MLB, with the stadiums’ jumbo-sized screens streaming the adorably cheesy moments for fellow attendees, but which MLB stadiums charge the most to capture the union of two loved ones?
To help, Betway analyzed all 30 stadiums to find out what they charge for a scoreboard message and combined the cost data based on what you will need for the special day.
The Atlanta Braves ranked 14th overall in the index, costing fans $392 when all the arrangements are made for that special moment compared to the other stadiums in the study.
When all factors were considered, the Atlanta Braves home, Truist Park, came out with a score of 57.99 in the index total.
Best Overall: Proposing during a Pittsburgh Pirates game will only set you back $317. In fact, for anyone hoping to enjoy a romantic meal after the proposal, the Pirates have the cheapest meal cost for any MLB team in the division.
The Most Expensive: For $760, you arrange to propose to your significant other during a Tampa Bay Rays game where 41,000 people will be watching. However, there is a sizeable additional $500 cost to have your message projected on the big screen.
The Party Poopers: The Texas Rangers are the only team in the MLB that doesn’t allow fan announcements on the scoreboard, but they can’t stop you from popping the question at your seats.
