Some healthcare providers in Georgia already running low on high-dose flu vaccine

Georgia healthcare providers are among those across the country already reporting shortages of the high-dose flu vaccine, as many are heeding the advice of public health officials to get the flu vaccine this year, as the threat of Covid-19 looms in addition to the usual flu season.

It is being recommended that you call ahead to make sure the high-dose vaccine is available, and if not, call around. Public Health officials say that if not available in your area, the standard vaccine is safer than going without.
