Letter: Carter Denounces Iran Nuclear Deal

Buddy Carter, U.S. House of Representatives

As you know, earlier this year I voted to reject President Obama’s dangerous nuclear deal with Iran because, among other reasons, I did not believe the world’s largest leading sponsor of terrorism could be trusted. This week, they proved my belief was correct.

Last Sunday, Iran fire-tested a new generation of surface-to-surface ballistic missile in a blatant violation of a U.N. Security Council resolution. This is yet another example in a long list of proof that Iran has never played by the rules and they won’t start now.

This bad deal must be terminated and I am pursuing every possible avenue to ensure this happens. In addition to voting against the deal, I voted to strip the President of his ability to lift economic sanctions on the terrorist regime. Most recently, I acted to block the Obama Administration from moving forward with the deal until Iran meets its obligations to victims of its terrorist activities. Iran currently owes its American victims $43.5 billion in court-ordered damages and should not get one cent of sanctions relief until every dime is paid.

What do you think? Do you believe the nuclear deal with Iran should be terminated immediately? Take my poll here to let me know your thoughts.
