ATLANTA – Georgia recently ranked in the top five states the quickest to fall in love according to a new survey by Forbes Health.

Release:

As the most romantic day of the year approaches, a new survey has looked to uncover how long it takes Americans to confess their love, and the states that do it the quickest, with Georgia coming in fourth place.

The Forbes Health survey polled Americans on how long they would wait before telling someone they love them, with the largest contingency of respondents nationwide (29.4%) reporting that it takes at least 4-6 months of dating.

In some states, however, residents would say “I love you” even more quickly. In fact, Arizona had the highest percentage of people (46%) confessing their love within the first three months of dating.

Georgia came in fourth place in the study, tied with California, Hawaii, and Virginia, with 37% percent saying those three words within the first three months of dating.

The top 10 states that confess their love the quickest are:

  • Arizona (46% confessing their love within the first three months)
  • Massachusetts (43%)
  • Connecticut (41%)
  • California, Georgia, Hawaii, Virginia (tied at 37%)
  • North Dakota, Washington (tied at 36%)
  • Wisconsin (34%)
