LOWNDES CO – The Viking baseball team advances to the 2024 state championship series on Friday with a doubleheader.

On Saturday, our Viking baseball team swept the North Paulding High School Wolfpack with 11-0 and 8-5 wins.  With the wins, they have advanced to the 2024 state championship series.  The opponent will be decided when Brookwood and Grayson play the third and deciding game of their semifinal series. 

The 2024 7-A state championship games will begin on Friday, May 17 with a 5:00 pm doubleheader.  Games will be played at Coolray Field, home of the Gwinnett Stripers – the Braves AAA affiliate.  If necessary the third game would be on Saturday, May 18 beginning at noon. 

Tickets are available via GoFan only and can be found at https://gofan.co/app/school/GA7173     Tickets are $15 each day and everyone except babies in arms must have a ticket.  The Class 5-A finals will also be played at Coolray Field.
