BRUNSWICK, Ga. – There can be no real debate that social media and cyber-bullying has caused an uptick in tensions that too often migrate into the “real world.”

Most recently, Brunswick, Georgia has made the news for just that.

A massive brawl between students and adults broke out inside Brunswick High School, reported WFTV.com.

Video captured by a cellphone from inside the cafeteria at Brunswick High shows girls repeatedly punching each other. Action News Jax blurred the video to protect the identify of the students because of their age.

The video captures the sounds of screams and cries from a girl who fell on her back during the tussle.

The brawl ignited between two girls on Facebook the night before over a boy, according to the Glynn County Sheriff. The altercation continued between the girls the following day at school.

According to investigators, one of the girls let two non-students inside the gym through a side door of the cafeteria.

Brunswick police arrested 10 students as a result of the brouhaha – including the two non-students Abreyanna Scott, 19, and Reyneldon Harris, 20. Officers said there could be more arrests.

Police told Action News Jax they are looking at long-term security and will be making some changes this summer so people who don’t belong in the school can’t get in.

According to authorities, none were injured during the incident.
