ST. SIMONS ISLAND — A St. Simons Island resident found more than sea shells during a walk on a Georgia beach Monday morning.
Glynn County police report the resident found part of a human skull on the beach.
Police got a call from a St. Simons Island resident Monday morning. He told police he was walking his dog when he found the skull not far from the Coast Guard boardwalk.
No other skeletal remains have been found. The skull will now go to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab in Savannah.
