DECATUR — Police in DeKalb County are looking for the gunman who shot a man in front of woman and a child late Wednesday night.

Officers were called out to Holcombe Road in Stone Mountain around 11 p.m. in reference to a person shot call. When they arrived, they found a man injured on the ground. Authorities say he was shot twice.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition is currently unknown.

According to witnesses, the man was walking with a woman and a child when the gunman opened fire and then took off running.

The woman and child were not hurt in the shooting.

So far, police have not been able to get a clear description of the shooter.

Investigators are working to learn a motive in the case.
