ATLANTA — Georgia’s film and television industry supports more than 24,000 direct jobs and pays local workers more than $1.68 billion in wages, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) Inc. announced Monday.
Over 9,200 of these jobs are related directly to productions, representing a growth of more than 1,000 production-related jobs since the MPAA last compiled this data.
In 2014, Georgia hosted 21 films and 52 TV shows, including “Selma,” “Taken 3,” AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and The CW’s “The Vampire Diaries.”
