LAKE CITY — A 16-month old girl was found in a car.  The child was not breathing and unresponsive to attempts to save her.

The incident occurred Tuesday.  The child had been in the car all day after her father reported to police he had forgotten to take her to daycare.  She was not discovered until the father returned home that afternoon.  He then called 911.

The parents are both employed by the State of Florida in the 3rd Judicial Circuit.

The child’s mother, Wendy Timonera Kwon, works as an assistant state attorney.  The father, Young Kwon, is an assistant public defender.

An investigation is ongoing by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
