SAVANNAH — A Chatham County woman, missing since Saturday, is the focus of a multi-unit search.

Chatham County Emergency Management Agency, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Savannah-Chatham County Metro Police are searching for Carol Gardner, 73.  Gardner went for a walk Saturday evening and never returned.

Authorities are using search dogs and helicopters as part of their efforts to locate Gardner.  She is a white female, 5’5″, 109 pounds with blue eyes and black hair with slight graying at the temples.  She was last seen wearing a brown jogging suit, red socks and a white skull cap.

The search is centered in the area around Abercorn and 42nd streets.  She is reported to suffer from dementia and multiple sclerosis.  She did not take her walker, which she usually needs to walk.
