VALDOSTA— On Sunday, January 12, 2020 at approximately 01:36 A.M., the Valdosta Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire at 1402 Baymeadows Dr. The first fire unit arrived within five minutes to find a small fire in a bedroom of the duplex. Fire crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control.

There were no occupants home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. VPD and SGMC EMS assisted on scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation. There was a total of 16 VFD Personnel on scene.
