Stolen vehicle from Norcross wrecked on Highway 122 Saturday

The men left the car at the scene, according to a witness, Katrena Boyd Thompson, who took a video of the scene.

“As far I know the car was stolen and wrecked in my daughter’s yard early this morning around 6:30,” Thompson said early Saturday. “Four black males, possibly with guns, dangerous and injured. They walked to the Peach Mart store in Barney, then left heading towards Hahira direction. They still have not been caught as of yet. Lowndes county K9 have been looking for them all morning. They were seen on Peach Mart’s security cameras and at least one was bleeding pretty bad from his head and had a shirt wrapped around it. They were last spotted near the corner of Old Coffee Road near Barney around 10 this (Saturday) morning.”

Lowndes County Sheriff Ashley Paulk said that he and his deputies had been helping with the search.

“One of my deputies said there was some property inside the vehicle that was apparently connected to a Valdosta pawn shop break in,” Paulk said. “Brooks County was working it, I think four people left the vehicle and we tried to assist them. They were spotted going into the woods .”

Some items found in the car were reportedly connected to a Valdosta robbery

The case is still under investigation.
