VALDOSTA — Johnnie Mae Woods has been a dedicated employee of Valdosta City Schools’ Nutrition Program for over four decades.  She is retiring this year.

Starting her career in 1972 as a cashier, Ms. Woods has worked her way up through the ranks to become a manager, winning Valdosta City Schools’ Manager of the Year twice.

Her work ethic over the years has proven to be nothing short of superior. She has worked diligently and selflessly throughout her career serving thousands of children.

The cafeteria at Pinevale Elementary will be missing the face of Ms. Johnnie Woods, but her soul and passion for her job will shine through her staff that will remain at the school.

The Valdosta City Schools would like to wish Ms. Johnnie Mae Woods a happy retirement and thank her for her service to the boys and girls of Valdosta City Schools.
