VALDOSTA — Protestor Eric Sheppard was arrested at a home in Tampa, Fla. today. Sheppard was taken to Hillsborough County Jail. He will be returned to Lowndes County for a court date regarding his multiple arrest warrants.

Eric Sheppard will face an extradition hearing upon his arrival back to Lowndes County.

The United States Marshalls from the South East Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force helped the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office in the arrest of Sheppard.
