ADEL — A man was arrested on Wednesday morning for shooting another man. Police received a tip stating 25-year-old Carlton Brown shot 23-year-old  Shannon Brown on Ollie Street on Tuesday.

Carlton Brown admitted to shooting Shannon Brown.

Carlton was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During a Crime and Firearms Discharge Near a Highway.

Shannon is recovering in a hospital in Macon.

Officials found a fun at the scene which they believe was used to shoot Shannon. The gun was reported stolen and now the police are investigating the crime.
