South Georgia Drug Traffic Ring Busted

Federal authorities have been busy rounding up drug crime suspects in Tift, Cook and Colquitt County.

Agents from the Sylvester Office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, assisting federal authorities, have been observing a drug traffic organization operated in South Georgia.

As a result of their investigation, law enforcement officials have confiscated three kilos of cocaine and at least $300,000 in cash.  Firearms and seizure documentation on at least four properties have been filed in Cook and Tift Counties. Over 20 suspects have been taken into custody as a result of the investigation and subsequent arrests.
