LAKE PARK — The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office has reported that Jasmine Gary, the missing Lowndes teen, was located by investigators and deputies Monday evening.

The investigation thus far has indicated that Gary left on her own and was not the victim of any foul play.

The Sheriff’s office thanks the community for your quick response in looking for information about Jasmine Gary’s disappearance.

On Friday, October 3, the family of sixteen {16} year old Jasmine Gary reported that she failed to return home after school. Deputies immediately began searching for Jasmine, contacting school resource officers who confirmed that she boarded the appropriate school bus. It is believed that Jasmine Gary failed to complete a switch of buses at Lowndes Middle School and may have walked away with friends.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office checked several residences and spoken with her friends. These efforts did not produce any leads.
