VALDOSTA — The Lowndes County Sheriff’s office reports Friday morning, around 2:20 deputies were called to 4025 Camellia Drive to the report of a person who had been stabbed.

When the deputies arrived, they found the victim, who is 25 years old, had been stabbed in the back by his girlfriend, Natalya Otera. During the investigation deputies and investigators learned that Otera and the victim were in a verbal argument when Otera became angered and stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife.

The victim was transported by ambulance to South Georgia Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. As of this report the victim remains at S.G.M.C., although his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Natalya Otera was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail and booked on the listed charges. She will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court this afternoon for an arraignment hearing where a bond will be considered.
