SUNBELT EXPO COMING SOON

The Sun Belt Agricultural Expo is set to return to Spence Field in Moultrie. Organizers are putting up new exhibit centers where 10 states in the Southeast will be represented. The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new building will take place on opening day of the expo on October 14th at 10:15. The programming and displays continue on the 15th and 16th.

BABY MONITOR FOILS BREAK IN IN THOMASVILLE

A Thomasville father heard the sounds made by a burglar over a monitor located in his child’s room. The family has suffered several burglaries in recent months; one of many targeted in the Northern section of the city. The monitor was placed in the room of his three year old child. he heard sounds but when he checked the three year old’s room he found nothing out of place and returned to bed. The next morning he discovered that a window in the child’s room had been cracked.

OLENS FINE LEVIED

The office of Georgia Attorney general Sam Olens has now paid the $10,000 fine levied against staffers for failing to provide key documentation in a lawsuit against the state’s ethics commission. Olen’s office defended the commission during the suit and the order to pay was issued by Judge Ural Glanville in the whistle blower case. Commission director Holly LeBerge was ordered to pay $10,000 as well, however, she plans to appeal.
