THOMASVILLE, GA – James P. LaRose, known as the “Fundraiser’s Fundraiser” will be the keynote speaker during the Fall Forum of The Southern Center for Nonprofit Excellence (SCeNE). The Fall Forum, is set for Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Thomasville Center for the Arts, 600 E. Washington St.
LaRose is author of the internationally recognized fundraising series “Major Gifts Ramp-Up” and is the designer of the “Major Gifts Ramp-UP Cloud,” a complete back-office for nonprofit executives. He also led the design team that established the Certified Nonprofit Consultant (CNC), a credentialing process that supports nonprofit executives committed to sharing their management experience with their peers.
“We’re delighted to have someone like Jimmy LaRose speak at our Fall Forum,” said Rick Munroe, Chair of the SCeNE Advisory Board and Vice President for Advancement at Thomas University. “His expertise and experience will help anyone involved in fundraising. LaRose is the co-founder of the CauseCause.com platform, an online social media community network that supports citizens of the world committed to advancing the common good. He is co-founder of DonorScope.com, a web-based research portal that identifies philanthropists, altruists, and leaders along with their capacity to give to causes for which they personally care. LaRose is credentialed by the National Development Institute as a Certified Nonprofit Consultant and holds the Certified Fund Raising Executive certification.
In addition to LaRose’s presentation, the SCeNE Fall Forum will also include morning and afternoon sessions that include topics such as “Major Gifts Ramp Up,” “Branding and promoting your campaign,” “Making data-driven decisions,” “Using Crowdfunding to fund a project,” How millennials are shaping philanthropy,” and “Women and philanthropy.” The event will end with a panel discussion on the future of foundation giving.
Created by a consortium of nonprofit leaders with the purpose of strengthening regional charitable organizations, the Southern Center for Nonprofit Excellence (SCeNE) provides high-value professional development and networking opportunities and other resources for the regional nonprofit community.
