Brooks County Middle School TSA and FFA Students Expedite Elections

BCMS-FFA-ElectionsBROOKS COUNTY, GA – On April 15th Technology Student Association and Future Farmers of America worked hand in hand to help expedite the FFA Officer elections.

The Brooks County Middle School FFA Chapter has 140 members and handling elections the old fashioned way would take a significant amount of effort. The FFA chapter reached out to the Technology Student Association, or TSA, to find a solution.

The TSA chapter created a Google Form which will collect the votes and automatically tally them. Combining the Google Form and the one of the school’s iPad labs the election process went off without a hitch.

“Anytime we can lend a hand and get technology in the hands of our students we will jump at that opportunity” says TSA Advisor Reggie Lee. FFA advisor Christy Thomas comments, “the digital election today gave the students a glimpse into a real world experience.” With activities such as this, BCMS is continuing to keep up with the changes in today’s technical world.”
